No. If you’re sure your loved one is suicidal, call 911 as soon as possible.
-
How does your service work?
To get started, click here
and complete your payment via PayPal. Enter a valid 10-digit telephone
number, and a crisis consultant will contact you within five minutes (if
the consultant is currently assisting someone else, this will be
indicated when you click to start your consultation).
-
Can I call your service instead of providing a telephone number at which I am to be called?
Because our consultants are in different
locations, this is not an option at this time. If anonymity is a
concern, consider using a pre-paid phone or a friend’s cell phone.
-
How much does a consultation cost?
A consultation costs $95 and can last for up to 90 minutes.
-
What type of payment do you accept?
Secure credit card payments are accepted through PayPal.
-
Will I be required to provide personal (identifying) information?
Not unless you want to. PayPal generally does not release personal information.
-
What are some risk factors for suicide?
Common risk factors include depression,
prior suicide attempt(s), family history of mental health problems or
substance abuse, family history of suicide, family history of violence
(including physical or sexual abuse), firearms in the home,
incarceration, and exposure to the suicidal behavior of others.
-
Can my telephone consultation be truly anonymous?
Yes. If you want to be sure your call is
anonymous, enter the number of a pay phone (make sure it can accept
incoming calls), or use a friend’s or pre-paid cell phone.
-
What is the difference between counseling and consultation?
Counseling represents active and ongoing
guidance in the context of a life problem or difficulty. Consultation is
meant to be a distinct professional interaction to facilitate getting
the proper help for an individual in need.
